A Ray of Happiness by Jigna Fadia (Toronto's Yoga, Reiki and Mindfulness Trainer)

There are moments when we stop looking for happiness and suddenly recognise that something beautiful has been present all along.

This poem came from one of those moments.

Through yoga, I have learned to become curious about what lies beneath the constant movement of life. Our thoughts change. Our emotions change. Our bodies change. The experiences we move through change. But when we slow down enough to truly notice, there is also a quiet awareness that remains present through it all.

For me, this is one of the gifts of yoga. It is not about chasing a permanent state of happiness or trying to hold on to a particular feeling. It is about learning to meet each moment with greater awareness. To listen to the body. To feel the breath. To notice the mind. To become present enough to receive what life is offering.

Sometimes, in that presence, happiness arrives in a way we were not looking for.

This poem is an invitation to pause and notice: what happens when you stop searching for happiness and become present to what is already here?

I would genuinely love to hear your thoughts or experiences.
